Inspired by Megan Clauson's Wheaton business, The Ultimate Elf, founded over 40 years ago. The book is about an Elf named Murfe. When the Christmas season is over on January 1st, most of Santa’s elves leave the North Pole for vacation in tropical places. But not Murfe. She travels to Chicago in the hopes of keeping the Christmas spirit going. There, she tries her hand at snow shoveling, walking dogs, and serving hot cocoa on the street. As the season turns warm, she discovers other jobs that spread joy and cheer, even when Santa is nowhere to be seen and the jingle bells are out of sight! Does she find that Christmas spirit all year round?!
